My students love these books! They are perfect to reinforce the explicit instruction of the syllable type and word analysis instruction in the lesson. The text is manageable for my students who find phonic decoding very hard and are still developing letter sound knowledge and how to read words - as opposed to relying on the pictures to guess words.
